The genius businessman strikes again
Well they all wore fake ear band-aids without shame so definitely yes.
NEW: An inmate overheard guards talking about covering up Epsteinβs death. www.miamiherald.com/news/local/c...
Well given that most of the tiny amount of bills this gop controlled congress passes are simply republican wet dreams I really don't see this as big an issue as trump thinks it is.
The Ellisonsβ new Paramount/Warner Bros mega-media monopoly would never pass muster if America still had antitrust enforcers.
So who can stop this? State attorneys general. Here's how. β¬οΈ

When I first started out as a journalist I thought it paid to have a background in US history when covering America. Then I thought it would probably be better to be a constitutional lawyer with expertise in jurisprudence. Now I think it would be useful to be a psychiatrist.
BREAKING:
A federal judge in Washington just ruled that Kari Lake has unlawfully served as chief executive of the U.S. Agency for Global Media β which oversees Voice of America β and nullified many actions she has taken in the role, including mass layoffs of staff.
This should be front page news. There should be hearings about it.
One of my commenters said this is the response he got to filing a Florida bar complaint against Pam Bondi. So
I guess the administrationβs lawyers get a free pass (at least from FL) to violate professional ethics and I guess break the law, and not lose their license
This is no different from Putin saying MH17 was shot down by Ukraine or Assad saying rebels gassed themselves.

Lots of folks cling to the idea that this comes down to Biden's inability to "sell" these accomplishments. I'm sorry, though, that's pure cope. Whiny resentfulness toward Dems & cities is *constitutive* of the RW worldview today, not something that can be turned on & off with policy.
UPDATE: Sunny, a U.S. citizen, is on her way home after being shipped across state lines overnight.
How the hell did this happen?
Press conference tomorrow at Broadview, where we will hear Sunnyβs side of the story. More details soon.
Earlier this week, Idaho became the latest state to push back against the U.S. Department of Justiceβs campaign to seize the private voter data of every state. www.democracydocket.com/analysis/eve...
This is really sick.
Aaron be fair, Dems tried getting war powers acts through both chambers and Republicans obstructed the attempts. It's not congress. It's the republican party.
New records show a guard searched Jeffrey Epsteinβs name minutes before his body was found. This follows thousands in unexplained cash deposits to that guardβs account days prior. These aren't coincidences; theyβre receipts. We need a full independent investigation now.
"War is mankind's most tragic and stupid folly; to seek or advise its deliberate provocation is a black crime against all men. Though you follow the trade of the warrior, you do so in the spirit of Washington -- not of Genghis Khan. For Americans, only threat to our way of life justifies resort to conflict." Graduation Exercises at the United States Military Academy, 6/3/47 "Possibly my hatred of war blinds me so that I cannot comprehend the arguments they adduce. But, in my opinion, there is no such thing as a preventive war. Although this suggestion is repeatedly made, none has yet explained how war prevents war. Worse than this, no one has been able to explain away the fact that war creates the conditions that beget war." Remarks at Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 10/19/50 [DDE's Pre-Presidential Papers, Principal File, Box
Was browsing the Eisenhower Library site this morning trying to find a quote I remembered.
President Eisenhower, WW2 military hero:
βIn my opinion, there is no such thing as a preventive warβ¦ none has yet explained how war prevents war.β
Probably the most common bit of advice I give to students to improve their writing.
There already is an evangelical on the court but I guess a liberal black woman doesn't count for the Washington post.
Headline and subhed of Washington Post op-ed arguing that there should be more representation of evangelical Christians on the Supreme Court and other government institutions.
Iβm currently writing a book about whatβs really wrong with #SCOTUS and how to fix it.
Suffice it to say, this ainβt it:
Hegseth's command of the American dialect of the English language is fairly shallow.

Spend vast amounts of tax dollars to create a massive sophisticated network of intelligence agencies and assets and then disregard the information provided when it doesn't match one old man's preconceptions.
My favorite line by George Carlin is ... think how stupid the average person is, then remember half of 'em are dumber than that...
Caitlin KALINOWSKI over X I resigned from OpenAl. I care deeply about the Robotics team and the work we built together. This wasn't an easy call. Al has an important role in national security. But surveillance of Americans without judicial oversight and lethal autonomy without human authorization are lines that deserved more deliberation than they got. This was about principle, not people. I have deep respect for Sam and the team, and I'm proud of what we built together.
OpenAI head of robotics just resigned over company deal with the Pentagon sayingβ¦
βSurveillance of Americans without judicial oversight and lethal autonomy without human authorization are lines that deserved more deliberation than they gotβ
I thought it could be a joke but then I thought hey there are plenty of people that stupid out there.
