Trying to explain why 'goalie is part of the team?' is an idiotic perspective would require good faith on your part too.

Canada had 5 or 6 chances near as good where Hellebuyk robbed em. The US hit a double post shot in the second IIRC, and missed 3 or 4 great chances too. Such is hockey.
Stealing a game because the goalie stood on his head is why playoffs are a best of 7. A one and done it's a bit of a crapshoot - Binner stole the 4 Nations in overtime when the US played better, Hellebuyck stole this one in the second and third when the Canadians were better. Both teams are studs.
The position is so important the game could be called Goaltending, but it's a very isolated position. A team can try to out score shaky goaltending, or defend like hell so they don't need to be great; but you will lose every game they don't show up for and they can steal games when the team doesn't.
That's the best thing about it! It takes a bunch of skillsets just to play the game - get a bunch of crazy athletes doing it and they make magic happen.
During yesterday's RE2 stream it was brought up that Pina and Broguin could cosplay as Ada and Leon so of course I had to bring this idea to life!
