Let’s play a game.

Your pet gets chosen to be immortalised on a banknote.

Which picture are you submitting?

Making a complete tit of yourself here, Ed.

My running economy must be incredible based on these new scientific findings πŸ˜‚

Is part of it because the government are reticent to talk about the good things they’re doing for fear of being called β€˜woke’ & turning off their mythical Hero Voter?

I’m think about two-child cap, minimum wage rise, climate etc. Their preference is to shout about being cruel to immigrants.

It’s been quite the day for Mr Barton.

He wasn’t generalising, in fact he was being incredibly specific about the residents of one cul-de-sac

Still in fairly regular contact with ten people in the picture. Connected but not in touch with about 4 more. Not bad after 33 years!

Uni picture from β€˜93. Good times!

Yeah the underfoot conditions in those pictures looked horrible. Proper porridge, really saps the energy

It is! I think he’s competing with me to see who can get the most scars. At his current trajectory at 9 years old he’s clearly going to win 😬

Nice. How was it mountain man? I did 30km / 1,100m vert today, longest run this year. My legs are quietly unhappy with me.

08.03.2026 20:18 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Thanks - I think he’s hoping for a good scar πŸ˜‚

08.03.2026 20:06 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Thanks - he’s on the mend already & took everything in his stride, no dramas at all. He’s pretty used to getting into scrapes πŸ€•

It will make a good story in the playground tomorrow!

Busy day - my son got hit in the face with a shovel during avalanche training with his snowboard group. Snowmobile ride, πŸš‘ & some glue later… I think he’s going to have a scar there.

Long run (30km / 1,100m vert) in the pm for a 77km week. Building nicely for race season

Yes, I’m seeing this phenomenon a lot around here at the moment

Never going to be allowed in the number 1 shirt again after that absolutely disgraceful show of skill & speed

Immediate expulsion from the front row union

Looks great, happy birthday!

That’s interesting. I had one pair of Kinabalu Ultra RC bought on sale. The sole had to be replaced after 150km, and after 200km the upper also split 🀨

06.03.2026 15:40 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I agree that Salomon are poor too. Terminal splits on the upper after <500km

06.03.2026 14:44 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Nnormal - definitely top of my list.

La Sportiva are good too - the new material on the Prodigio Pro seems really hard wearing. I’m on 700km & no sign of wear.

Scott & Hoka have not been great for me. Small sample size but both failed & are off my list

How can a reset be considered serious without an honest conversation about FOM or ditching Labour’s β€œred lines”?

06.03.2026 11:52 πŸ‘ 14 πŸ” 5 πŸ’¬ 3 πŸ“Œ 0

These people are absolutely repulsive. It’s not just the stupidity, it’s the greed & complete disregard for human life. No thought to what the real-life consequences of starting a war are. No qualms about killing innocent people for money.

They really sicken me. They all belong in court.

06.03.2026 08:16 πŸ‘ 6 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Disingenuous. Migration has already been cut by 3/4 since it’s peak, so Lab should take be taking credit for that.

To go further will result in negative economic consequences. A better polling question would be β€˜would you support more immigration cuts if it meant tax rises’ - assume most would not

05.03.2026 18:39 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

The UK isn’t in the EU.

04.03.2026 11:40 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

There couldn’t be a bigger contrast between Spain’s immigration policy & that which Mahmood is proposing.

04.03.2026 09:20 πŸ‘ 10 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Exactly. Without a willingness to entertain a discussion about FOM, or to revisit the β€˜red lines’ there is very little of substance that can be done.

It’s more empty words I’m afraid. Labour to scared of their own shadows to do anything meaningful.

04.03.2026 09:09 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Absolute idiocy on its own terms, and a nightmare from a fiscal perspective.

It also makes a mockery of Reeves’ warm words about getting closer ties to the EU, which will eventually require FOM. Between Starmer’s red lines & Mahmood’s immig policies, Labour are showing where their priorities lie
