Suggestions : a single place setting at a huge dinner table. A ship in a deep sea, something in outer space, etc. It might suggest loneliness or a circumstance that is silent / quiet, etc. Your negative space doesn't have to be white paper. E.g: candlelight in the darkness.

#Doodleish no:9Β  'Negative space'.Β

🧡A compositional task that focuses on empty space around your image to enhance its effect. E.G: emphasizing a large empty room or as the example, a large open empty outdoor space. Have a go. It can be anything. Over to @jennispangler.bsky.social

On the way back from my writing conference, #doodleish prompt 2 with my TWSBI Swipe fountain pen, a highlighter and a bit of pencil for the layout. Ink is Diamine Ancient Copper.

Interesting thinking about books that influenced me in context of all the writing workshops I just finished.

#doodleish prompt 4:
All the children’s books last week made me nostalgic, so let’s go back to basics with our ABCs!
Instead of A is for apple, B is for ball, create your own alphabet chart with any theme.
I’ve done a gothic ABC (of course…)
What’ve you got @chrismouldink?
