My pts in our OTPs are always shocked and excited that I remember their names. Such a small kindness goes a long way with this population.

I’ve been using a lot of topiramate. A handful of people say it helps. Whether that’s placebo effect or not, who knows?

Why start someone on suboxone in the hospital if you are unwilling to write a 1-wk bridge rx for the pt to get the to their intake appt with us? Seems unethical to me.
It really should be illegal for OTPs to kick pts to the curb that can't afford treatment. I'm getting tired of being told I need to force-taper pts off of their methadone.
