In the saga of my shitty corporate job, I got a 3% raise and a bonus based on metrics I have zero control over.
Boss let it slip that the max raise is now 3%for everyone and given to "meets expectations l" or higher.
So to make more money I have to leave. That's our incentive plan? Are we serious?

I went to buy an exterior door handle yesterday. $50. Hrm. How much do I actually need to close my garage door?

The first batch of maple syrup is finished! It needs to cool and the smaller pint jar is for the neighbor's. I give them syrup for letting me tap their tree.

Last year I got a "Meets Expectations" at my job after single-handedly developing and launching a new company-wide metric attainment platform.

So I decided to work less. A lot less. Walk away from my desk frequently less. Don't volunteer for anything less.

This year I got Meets Expectations. Huh.
