I never abandoned my faith but have abandoned organized religion. My father is a now retired pastor who is also a leftist and seeing how the church treated him I don’t think I can go back. I still have faith in god just not petty people who have grasped a small amount of power.

Especially when you can make jokes about how he is clearly rotting. Ex: I feel we are getting a reverse The Picture of Dorian Gray situation where he keeps making young looking AI slop pictures of himself and that is causing the rot in his soul to shine through on his real body.
I try to use those feelings, explore them through art/creation. Try to find some temporary catharsis in the outcome. It doesn’t always work and sometimes makes me sadder than when I started.
It is nice to know my D&D group put more thought into the repercussions of regime change than the current administration
