Hi Bluesky! Let me introduce myself: I’m a Hmong woman and scientist studying temperate forest disturbances, currently focused on mature and old-growth forests, favorite disturbances are diseases 🍄🟫, taking a brief sabbatical from DnD 🐉 while I wrangle two toddlers
Especially valuable as the USFS grapples with characterizing and defining old-growth forests. Hoping for continued responsible, respectful engagement with Indigenous knowledge holders.
I know we have a million starter packs right now, but I think we need one for forest management & policy!
