Managed to visit & tour Gettysburg this afternoon between the massive thunderstorms. The skies parted for our visit. Excellent start to our 8th grade trip!

Departure to Gettysburg tomorrow morning with our 8th grade students. Excited to begin our annual adventure to DC.

America doesn’t throw military parades for sitting president’s birthday celebrations; forget cost… focus on the meaning. Citizens should demean themselves to principles of our fundamental texts of our self-government rather than leaders that rule in our name. In the United States, the law is king.

Only way that GOP members of Congress will hold him accountable is when their reelection is in doubt; due to substantial gerrymandering, number of toss-up or vulnerable seats is significantly reduced. This won’t “feel” like a Nixon wave of GOP revolts. You have to talk about this w/ your neighbors.

Not to state the obvious, but none of them were sent to a terrorist prison in El Salvador. They all had lawyers, indictment by grand jury, a trial or a guilty plea where a judge ensured it was knowing & voluntary & access to an appeals process. In other words, all the hallmarks of due process.

Ummm... I'm advocating for due process for ALL American citizens and residents of the United States. I mean, it's an essential element of the US Constitution that is deeply rooted in English constitutionalism (as early as the Magna Carta in 1215).
