makes sense yeah, feels like the only good workaround is to set it to some default which will never be used, which is probably only useful in some scenarios
though i guess you want 0 health sometimes...
i could kinda see some workarounds if its just the datatypes default; but if its the allocated value, then i see obvious issues with things like Health
appreciate the link to the other replies you left, i do have one question about that: is the 'default' value the datatypes default? (i.e. 0 for int, "" for string)
or is it what the inital value was when it was allocated? (i.e. 'var x = 15' at the top of a script, is the default now '15'? or '0'?)
if youre a game dev for the love of god run your game on a steam deck (or any mediocre setup). the amount of #indiegame s coming out that cant even run well on my 5060Ti is absolutely absurd
$300 laptop or device to test on now might save you hundreds in refunds
