BCCFA Executive Director, Jennifer Gunter, will be speaking at the SISCO Winter Workshop with Casey Macaulay, Manager, Wells Gray Community Forest. The session will explore how Community Forest Agreements are strengthening local economies and supporting a diverse, resilient forest sector across B.C.

The BCCFA is proud to have collaborated with Canada's Nature Advantage on a case study about the Cheakamus Community Forest. The study explores how a community approach to land tenure can help make way for multiple revenues and beneficiaries.

In partnership with the BC Community Forest Association, the West Boundary Community Forest has released a new film, entitled ‘Our Forest’, to showcase the values, objectives, and diverse activities happening within its locally managed forest.

Our BCCFA staff and several Board members enjoyed a productive week at Forest Professionals British Columbia’s Conference in Vancouver. Across sessions and conversations, one theme stood out clearly: the forestry sector is transforming, and community forests are central to that shift.
