Madeleine #Vionnet did love a challenge. She often took the finest of gauzy fabrics and then experimented with embroidery in collaboration with artisan studios in Paris such as #Lesage. This is a lovely late #1920s example #madparisfr #FashionHistory πŸ—ƒοΈπŸͺ‘

I legitimately enjoy this game I find it's combat and art style fun but man sometimes people just get so angry over utterly nothing in games and I'm just so confused by it I understand if you feel the team isn't making an effort in competitive but it's not there mode it's fun mode.

If you are in the QP or arcade of a videogame do you rage at your team for losing?????

Because I mostly stay out of competitive unless I just want placements and stuffs.

However.

A lot of people seem to rage when losing QP or arcade modes and I don't understand, it's not ranked or anything!!!!!

a simple MAD CAT question.....

No no no, silly goose. Not THAT Mad Cat.....

I mean the MAD-3R Marauder & CPLT-K2 CATapult.

The question? If you were in the late 2nd Succession War thru the end of the 3rd Succession War.... which would you rather?

The Marauder is far and away the more popular, but hear me out.

Despite out-massing the Cat by 10 tons, the two of them are rather similar.

-Both are 4/6 movement.
-11(ish) tons of Armor. Marauder has a half ton more. Cat arguably has better distribution.
-Both rely on twin PPCs for their heavy lifting, and paired Medium Lasers for stuff that gets close.
-Both can essentially fire their PPCs in their rear arc. The MAD can also fire it's MLs.

Where they differ?

-Tertiary Armament: MAD has AC/5, CAT has 2x MGs. Neither will wow you, but one is more useful at range, the other against PBIs. Draw.

-Heat endurance. The MAD has a mere 16 SHS, not even enough for both PPCs, the CAT has a massive 20, allowing it heat neutrality with it's PPCs if stationary. Advantage CAT.

-Ammo placement. The MAD was 20 shots of completely unpadded ammo in the Left Torso with only 17 pts of armor. ANY crits in the LT and KABLOOEY. The Cat has 200 rds of Nuclear MG Ammo, in it's Center Torso. Which is protected by 24 pts of armor, and 11 slots of crit padding between Engine Gyro and a Heatsink. Advantage: CAT.
-Melee. While neither are melee gods, the Marauder does have 10 tons more mass, and lower arm actuators, making it easier for it to hit with it's punches. Advantage: MAD.

When it comes to Logistics, neither are ubiquitous designs, but the Marauder has been built far longer, in far more Nation States than the Catapult, with the catapult flirting with extinction by the 4th Succession War, and the k2 itself BEING extinct between 3020-3033.

And if we are using quirks, the Marauder does get a decisive boost, even with it's negative quirks, because of getting Command Mech & Narrow/Low Profile helping it shrug off extra damage. Whereas the poor K2 gets shafted with No/Minimal Arms (making getting back up hard, as well as punching), and for some reason Weak Head Armor (1).

That said, I have always found myself leaning into the K2 camp, being such a stan that I accidentally got it made extinct over at the MUL.

Why though? Heat sinks, and that damn LT ammo bomb on the Marauder. The CPLT-K2 is simply more durable than the MAD-3R Marauder, quirks be damned.

***NOTE: This is specific to the MAD-3R, by far the most common version of the Marauder. Not your pet minmax custom, or other canon variants. If I had a choice of a MAD-3D instead of the 3R? I take the 3D 11x out of 10.

Which would you choose, and why?
