Maybe he knew Osha will kill Sol that is why he helped her find Mae? Sad that Venestra has to blame it all on Sol. Yoda in S2?

@pieterjketelaar.bsky.social The Acolyte's penultimate episode. Kids should never play with fire. Torbin killing himself makes little sense after this episode. Indara was the one that killed most of the witches. Not a great episode, but at least I got my Wookie light-saber fight.

@pieterjketelaar.bsky.social Episode 6 of the Acolyte was a real slow burn. Just when I thought it ended, they show you one more scene where Osha puts on the helmet and really let you feel more what she feels. I'm guessing she will kill Sol by Episode 8 and fully joins the dark side.

@pieterjketelaar.bsky.social Just watched the 2 episodes premiere of The Acolyte. Love it! No more continuation of the Skywalker saga and Jedis are the focus (unlike Mando and Andor). They also have this nice film grain kind of look that none of the other Star Wars TV show has. Plus wookie Jedi!

Agree that he didn't do a good job with it from the start. But better late than never? It's not like Trump can say he did it better when he was separating children from families and kill the bi-partisan immigration bill because he want to run on the issue. Really shows how much he cares.

@pieterjketelaar.bsky.social I watched the series finale of Star Trek Discovery yesterday. I was shocked by the run time (86 min). I like the first 60, but felt the last 20+ minutes was bolted on to give the show a proper send-off and it didn't really work for me.

I know it is absolutely needed to set up the race between Federation and the Breen for the Progenitors tech, but it felt really slow. Nice that it gave some backstory for Rayner and why he hates the Breen.

I wouldn’t quite put him up to national hero status, but there was a phase in high school where I ate way too much Pop tarts. RIP.

I know Bob Iger has the right mindset when he said they put out too much content under Chapek and they need to fix that. But by pulling back all these releases and now putting Grogu on the big screen, they now have nothing new to expect on Disney +.

In addition, now that the pandemic is over, they have not used Disney+ as a promotional tool for their movies in 2023. Amazon Prime Video have huge banners when they put out a new movie. Disney should at least put huge banners on Disney + along with trailers on day and the weekend of a new release
