Had lunch with one of my companies executives today. I have a fun 40 seconds where I had to come up with a believable lie that I knew so much about animals because I was interested in zoology when I was younger. and NOT because

Vtubing already shares so much DNA with pro wrestling (character gimmicks, kayfabe, alter egos, improv, evil IRL corporate overlords, etc)

When will they fully COMMIT

Vtuber heel factions. Scripted rivalries. Stunt choreography. Steel chairs.

Anyways anyone have a favorite Pokemon from gen 4 or earlier they wanna see as a quilt?

Their main source of funding was Joann and they lost it when Joann shut down. If you’re interested in finding out more go here: looseends.org

The loose end’s project is looking for help with twitch streams. If you don’t know they help connect unfinished projects (from creators/artist who can’t finish them) to finishers (a volunteer to, you guessed it finish the project)

A centralized discord + announcement channel other discords could follow and update would be a good way to share.

It’s 100% cotton and made using quilting batiks! It’s also been washed twice since quilting fabric tends to bleed, I’m really proud of it and I hope it can help raise some money for Malala Fund!

And then I had to quilt everything. Which actually was rather quick for once (this is also the spot I sent an email submitting the prize since I still had to bind it afterwards.)

I don’t have more pictures for this part but ori was a really irregular shape so I had to stabilize it AND square it up. So i sewed the remaining purple fabric to the sides and cut it at a tight angle to make a square. Then I just created the boarders using traditional piecing methods.

Fabric sewn together with paper on its front being pulled away.

Fabric sewn together with paper on its front being pulled away.

It’s important to note that a lot of this fabric was cut by hand and was on the bias so the front paper was kept on to avoid stretching of pieces. But after it was secured I could do this!

From there there was a lot of matching lines and sewing. Foundation paper piecing is fun cause after you sew you get to pull the perforated pieces from the back.

From the quilt assistant pattern, I had to cut out 377 paper pieces. Those pieces were glued to the fabric I’d be using Elmer’s glue.
