Surrounded by snacks but without opposable thumbs! The tragedy!
No son, they are not "magically delicious." The workers made them delicious. This is a slogan meant to mystify the social conditions of labor

In an episcopal archive, I asked for the next volume in a series, only to be told no by an elderly nun. When I asked why, she said, βItβs very high up, and Iβm afraid to climb the ladder.β She would, however, let me climb, which is how I found out those codices were stored in the (very leaky) attic.
Iβm so sorry to hear youβre struggling. Remember that your brain is doing the hard work of grieving, and itβs only been a short while. Iβm so sorry you joined this club, but I can promise it gets better. Itβs okay to give yourself grace when you need it.

You know what we won't need once handwriting recognition software has done its thing? Archivists, curators, conservators, catalogers, codicologists, or paleographers. We won't need archives either. We won't need diplomatics, editorial theory, book or media history, or material culture studies ποΈπ§΅

A coat of arms has to be impressive, full of symbolism, it's important, it represents an powerful family or person, so you have to think long and hard about its design and take it very seriously.
Or just put some underpants on it.

Iβm so sorry for your loss. Iβm familiar with that feeling, and itβs a terrible club to join. Wishing you peace and comfort while you grieve.
