Good morning, Blueskies!
Not happy to see the snow coming down. But it is what it is.
I hope you can come visit! -kjc
Good morning, Blueskies! Tony's having car trouble & will be in later. In the meantime, you got me again!
I hope you have some time & can stop by to say hello! We'll be open until 7pm! -kjc
Three comic books, side-by-side. They are titled BLACK PANTHER INTERGALACTIC issues #1-3. Each cover features the character Black Panther. In #1, he stands ready. The faces of other characters as well as space ships float behind him. In #2 he is being menaced by a character who looks like Doctor Octopus. In #3 he is fighting N'Jadaka.
One of these days, y'all are going to notice that Victor LaValle is writing BLACK PANTHER INTERGALACTIC & that we still have all 3 issues on the shelves! -kjc
GREBCOMICS will cheer you up! -kjc
Good morning, Blueskies! More snow was the last thing I was looking forward to, honestly, but hey! I got out of the house! I'm in the shop! That means it's a much better day already!
I hope you'll stop by & visit! I've been catching up on my reading & have new recommendations! -kjc

Drawing of Supergirl in some ripped-up jeans. Because even though Kara might be indestructible, denim is not. It is pretty stylish though!

A black and white photo of Finger
The covers to the first appearances of Batman, Robin, and Green Lantern, and the splash page to the first appearance of Wildcat.
Today is the birthday of writer Bill Finger (Feb. 8, 1914-Jan. 18, 1974), who took Bob Kane’s initial idea & developed it into the Batman we know today. He also wrote the first appearance of the original Green Lantern, and cocreated Robin, the Joker, Catwoman, Lana Lang, Wildcat, Riddler, & more.
Good morning, Blueskies! I've been back in the shop here & there, but I'm doing a half shift today & will be here until 3pm.
Do not come out in the cold if you are not REALLY BUNDLED UP, but if you can handle the temperatures, I hope you'll come visit! -kjc

Yes! The two or three of us who get 2000AD/the Meg at @myp-comics.bsky.social have been wondering about this for a while. Hopefully the main prog will follow and they'll become a bit more regular than they have been.

Friends, If the store is empty tonight, 24 December 2025, Tony might close a little early (6pm instead of 7pm). If you've already left your gift buying until the last possible day, don't wait until the last possible minute!

Amazing comic, truly novelistic
I also think command of form can absolutely raise a comic to the level of great literature. Moebius for example
I made a list of comics I think meet this criteria not long ago:
Love & Rockets
From Hell
Stray Bullets
Akira
Sunny; No. 5; Tokyo These Days (Taiyo Matsumoto)
Berlin
Prince of Cats
My Favorite Thing Is Monsters
20th Century Boys
various Jiro Taniguchi
various Clowes, Bechdel, Burns
It's a fun book! Check it out on our shelves!
Happy birthday, Neil Young!
Howdy Blue-Sky! What's good?
fall trees crowned in gold
fall trees bare as picked clean bones
winter is coming
Afternoon Blue-Sky Clan! I figure y'all're like the Wu, just from more places 😜
Hey Charley, I'm on a medical leave of absence, so I couldn't check. But I bugged Tony & there's nothing in your folder right now, so he's ordering a copy tonight or tomorrow. Call the shop next Friday? Thanks! -kjc
Howdy Bluesky! It's New Comic Book Day, and we've got so many new books we ran out of space on the white board! Come on through!
