Great word
That's interesting. I may be wrong (and should prob look it up before replying but where's the fun in that?) but I think I remember reading that L Carroll coined the word galumphing in Jabberwocky.
How I feel when someone blocks me
Really sorry to hear this very sad news. Met him a couple of times "in the old days". Gentleman. Great musician.
Ah no, that's awful news. A real gentleman
I've never read anything by him but bought Twist yesterday so hoping it's great.
Recording some poems for a thing and trying not to fall into the "poet voice" trap. The "Sunday Misc voice", my wife calls it.
It's lovely to see someone think about an answer before speaking.

i suppose the important thing to do is keep hand drawing, soon enough there will only be a few left that know how
It's so disheartening. I can't believe we've arrived at a place where we can look back with longing for stock images and clip art.
I met a creative writing teacher that uses it for his website. He said it was too hard to come up with new ways of advertising what he offers...
Axel Scheffler illustration of a fish ice fishing.
I love how this fish is tortured by his own guilt but that doesn't stop him hacking a hole in the ice with his axe, baiting the line and fishing. It's all so horribly premeditated.
Also reading Tim MacGabhann at the moment. Great images in it. The grass/wolves in the first or second poem was a spine tingling moment
George Sunders Vigil. Bit disappointed he's gone back to afterlife stuff but his observations are spot on as always
Really enjoying writing at the moment. I've been working on the same novel for years but something clicked recently and the whole world of it has come to life for me. I'm slow, it can take me months before I'm happy with a poem so I hope I can sustain this feeling of excitement for a while longer.
my wife's review of "Wuthering Heights":
"it was all sex rain and misery"
That's so cool, congratulations!
This and Harry Hill's podscarf are my go-to at the moment, usually while doing the dishes of an evening.
well of course, I'm not a savage

Soupy Norman ruined soup for me. I can't have it without hearing the words to that scene in my head.
