Screenshot of an invitation to an in-person Apple event in New York on March 4, 2026 at 9 am Eastern. The Apple logo is stylized to be sliced color glass in shades of yellow and green.
Apple is showing a thing! Maybe more than one thing! I’ll be going on March 4, stay tuned. 😆
Anger and frustration toward Apple grows louder on social media — with some people calling to boycott or stop upgrading their products — after Tim Cook’s actions this week. It’s a tricky PR moment as Apple also launched two new products. I unpack it all in this week’s One More Thing video:
It's been an intense two days. Here are some deeply disturbing details people have shared with me.
But there's also another tale: that of the Battle for Minneapolis and a community that's showing America what it means to resist.

My husband doesn’t like updating his iPhone. But Apple can be sneaky. It updated overnight. He’s assaulted with Liquid Glass, complex screenshots, pointless dizzying animations. I try to help, try to calm and coach him. But I can’t ease his pain. One week in and he is sending me… Android fan memes.
Heading back home after covering another exciting CES exploring future tech, meeting awesome people, and working with the best crew in the biz. ❤️ @cnet #ces2026 #bestofces
Behind the scenes of my @cnet.com video shoot today. I’ve entered my high-tech, high-fashion era. #iPhonePocket

Got a look at the ROG Xbox Ally X today and Silksong. Controls on the Ally X felt great. Couldn’t explore the OS at all. Silksong was fun too but honestly just a brief demo and I have no idea what comes next -
I’m not often hyped about a TV streaming box, but the next Apple TV 4K might be different. Could we see a bigger focus on gaming at the iPhone event? Today’s “One More Thing”: www.cnet.com/tech/home-en...
Google is showing off a bunch of new Pixel devices today — tune in to our live show with analysis and hands-on impressions, the live banter kicks off at 12:30 ET: www.youtube.com/live/Wp1ynkJ...
I will miss calling it the Microsoft National Broadcasting Company.
Big tech is in a race to make an AI gadget that can take down the iPhone. But Tim Cook doesn’t seem worried. If you look at where Apple is heading, the next stage of AI will still help the iPhone and Apple thrive (even if Siri needs more time): www.cnet.com/tech/apples-...
🤔 oh that would be me 😅
Apple’s recently pulled down video (the parent presentation) is part of a pattern of problematic marketing from Apple, and it got me thinking about what is different now compared to the iconic “cool Apple” ads of the past: www.cnet.com/tech/apple-a...
Universal patented new tech to pull off wild animatronics at Epic Universe — and it’s amazing how robots interact with guests (Toothless is wild). Plus so many animatronics exposed to Florida heat! I spoke with Universal about it and, yes, drone dragons are in the works: www.cnet.com/tech/i-never...
My reporting this week has me in Florida at Epic Universe before the grand opening, learning how robot dragons work in 90 degree heat, and how AR visors are used to battle Bowser. The wild future tech you see in your feed is making it into theme parks — stay tuned, more coming soon #epicuniverse
My favorite rides? Wing Gliders left me sobbing happy tears. Monsters Unchained was a blast and animatronics wowed. Felt inspired by video games. Donkey Kong’s broken track effect is perfect cartoon fun. Battle at the Ministry is a technical marvel. I have no idea how that ride works, a true feat.
If you want to see some snippets be sure to check out CNET’s TikTok account where we were posting all weekend. But there are so many gems, I think if people want something different, this is it. The attention to real world detail is wild, and truly transporting.
This morning’s written story on our experience by @scottstein.bsky.social — I personally just am wowed by just how many robotics are woven into everything, like seeing baby dragon Dart walk around freely, or how robots become major parts of stage shows blending actors, high-end screens and puppetry.
We’re at a new level of tech in theme parks, where the fantastical comes to life by playing tricks on your mind, blending actors, robotics and display tech. In this Tech Therapy, myself and @scottstein.bsky.social go inside Epic Universe before it opens (no on-ride spoilers!)

Also, our Tech Therapy episode from there where we debrief and go over the top things we felt and the hiccups (pun intended) - it’s long, so have a coffee youtu.be/rC49sUf0hsc
I got to take a look at Epic Universe, which opens May 22 - its best moments made me feel a sense of mixed reality. Thoughts on all of it, and a big video from @bridgetcarey.bsky.social and myself: www.cnet.com/tech/my-trip...
Suitcase packed with clothes and plush dolls of Mario, Princess Peach and Donkey Kong.
Jumping on a flight today to report on something Epic
Switch 2 news coming. My body is ready.
Thank you! And yes. Soooooooooooon. 😄
Hi! 👋 Been working on a new podcast project at CNET with @scottstein.bsky.social — because our tech world today is wild and we need to vent and laugh as we cope with change. We call it Tech Therapy. This week’s episode is impressive just from how many times we say “slop.” 🫠
