Wingers and RB help solve the attack which to makes a magical left foot an unnecessary luxury if it comes with the inability to recover in transitions.

Stabilizing RB and getting pace on the wings goes a long way to improving our attack. I’m not disputing the need for something different in midfield, but think it should be priority to solve our vulnerability in transition and Wharton doesn’t do that.

I’m open to the Grav discussion. I think he’s a player who plays to the level of those around him. He’s shown he can play every game and when he’s good he’s very good. Considering his age, I don’t think club is interested in him going anywhere. Macca likely to go, so who replaces him is question

Totally agree. Wharton at 40M as option off the bench, I’d be in, but at 80+ and expectation he’s who we build around, not so much.

The fear is there because they know Macca can’t recover if the ball is lost and he’s out of position.

Midfield needs some one who can get around the pitch better than Macca. That’s not Wharton.

That’s what Wirtz is for 🤷‍♂️.

Sort why I think Wharton would be a waste of money. Curtis is already better at the things Wharton can do.

Perfect storm of my capacity to tolerate BS at its lowest point coupled with an exponential rise in the level of BS I have to endure. Meanwhile my daughter is enjoying spring break in Barcelona and South of France, asking me for money and I’m resentful because I’d much rather be doing that 😂.

Last month of fiscal year BS. Cabin fever from winter finally taking its toll. Every year it drags me down.
