Scream 7! It absolutely sucks! It's bad enough that the little preview I'm giving you this week is the piece's kicker:
love it or hate it you have to admit itβs really spooky that all the stuff in the song came true
the cast of Star Trek Voyager in street clothes awkwardly posing with late-90s computer hardware and consumer electronics
this is what it feels like to post on bluesky

From Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse Vol. 3: The Captive Castaways Mickey, covered in chains, looks down at a tube that rolled over to him, Opium written on the side. Mickey: Good gosh! Opium!
To cap off our Heated Rivalry recaps, we have a special treat: an interview with @kvanaren.bsky.social!!
I will note that, since the time of publication, Tube Boy has been replaced by a Meowth named Buffy and a Dugtrio named Diane

Saving the people of Iran from being massacred by their government in the streets by massacring elementary schoolgirls from the air.
Iβm 62 years old, I live in Tampa, I eat corn and beef everyday, I always have a titleist hat on, and Iran is the biggest threat to my freedom
like this is what i'm talking about. i'm grateful that schumer and jefferies are calling for a war powers resolution. the material substance is there. but all the references to "costly wars," the posturing about "well of COURSE we must be HARSH, but we should have been briefed!"... it's so slimy
i know that they talk about budget stuff because their focus groups say that works for elections. i've never run for office, so what do i know! but what a miserable, soulless person it must be who says "this is a distraction from affordability at home" in the face of eighty dead schoolchildren
it feels like a sign of an evil, evil nation that even our opposition leaders are too cowardly to say plainly that an illegal war of aggression is morally wrong
if you'll be in MN this november, it may be worth noting to klobs that your support for her in the gubernatorial election, should she win the primary, is conditioned on her response to this crisis
smith and omar have called for a war power resolutions vote immediately. i urged them to go further and press for impeachment, but please thank them for what they've done.
klobuchar, to my knowledge, has done jack shit so far. she deserves your anger!
second illegal war in two months. jesus christ, have mercy on us.
it feels so stupid to be like "please call your reps" but it does matter. if you're in minneapolis:
sen. amy klobuchar: 202 224 3244
sen. tina smith: 202 224 5641
rep. ilhan omar: 612 333 1272 (DC mailbox is full)
i cannot overstate how lazy this port is. they left in all the references to the "GBA GAME LINK CABLE." zero modernizations. it costs $20, which is more than i paid for a used copy of firered in 2006 at gamestop. unfortunately, i do not regret buying it and would do so again
Sketchbook drawing of a shape that is not a cube
guy at the bar asked Tom βcan I draw a cube in your sketchbook?β and then spent forty five seconds drawing this Iβm dying
"You want to know about the two kinds of caterpillar POKΓ©MON?" asks a small child. the options are "YES" or "NO"
"You can't jam out if you're a POKΓ©MON TRAINER!" yells a child in a straw hat
"This is my grandson," reads a text box. The grandson looks like he spends 18 hours a day on Discord
"All girls dream of traveling. It said so on TV," says your character's mother. Oddly wistful and Lynchian!
i forgot how funny pokemon firered was
against my better judgment, I have written a glowing review of the show with a Klingon named Jay-Den. give it a read! little preview below!
In today's premium Friday newsletter: @lilywrites.bsky.social on what Starfleet Academy is doing right in an often stagnant franchise
In this week's Monday Rundown: Good Luck Have Fun Don't Die, Hemlocke Springs, and some really cool blue whales.
Starfleet Academy is an eminently mockable show. The lead guy can't do an American accent to save his life. Every episode ends with a big speech about the moral. The Klingon is named Jay-Den. It's also the best live action Trek since Voyager. One must often meditate on the duality of all things

The best thing about Jay-Den the Klingon besides that his name is Jay-Den and he's a Klingon is that he's the best character on Starfleet Academy and one of the best characters Trek as a whole has had in like a decade
I see people are talking about how the Klingon on Starfleet Academy is named, I am not joking, "Jay-Den." I am glad more people are learning this (that there is a Klingon on Starfleet Academy named, once again, "Jay-Den")
Another thing I love about Alysa is that her embracing joy, whimsy, artistry, authenticity and prioritizing having a healthy body and mind over aesthetic conformity and optimization blows a massive hole in much of the cultural messaging being pushed on women, esp young women, right now
