The Daly lecture is awarded to someone who exemplifies Reginald Daly’s groundbreaking work in volcanology, geochemistry, and petrology. This year's awardee is Adam Simon.

Adam’s talk is titled: “The formation and importance of arc-related porphyry-type mineral deposits.”

Kīlauea volcano is erupting (again) within Halemaʻumaʻu and the summit caldera! “Webcam imagery shows a line of fissures erupting lava fountains feeding lava flows at the base of Halemaʻumaʻu within the summit caldera. The activity is confined to the summit caldera.” 🧪⚒️🌋
