When Glen Canyon was finally destroyed, when I was created by the closing of the Glen Canyon Dam’s gates in 1963, the water delivered to Mexico became scarcer and more saline. Mexico complained, and the USofA said that they had never promised that the water would be 𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦.
Yes, I wanted to return to my former glory. But this is not the way.
But with all of the layoffs, will there be anyone to enforce this ban?

The Antiquities Act, signed into law by Theodore Roosevelt in 1906, is under threat from the incoming administration, as well as the very real potential for downsizing, removing, and selling off protected public lands through spurious reviews, which they did first time around.
Lake Powell is under 40% full.
There is just one year to go before the new water management scheme for the Colorado River is decided.
Things do not look promising.
Some say I have been fairly stable this year, but I think the future still is uncertain.

The Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Lake Powell are in an area of the Southwest that is definitely as risk of being turned into wasteland under the incoming administration.
