As we've seen with many video game publications, they'll go months/years without raising rates. They'll find new workers to exploit even if traffic is declining. Sure, one day that won't work anymore, but we'll all have starved by then if we stop working because we aren't getting what we're worth

Honestly a good example of why studios shouldn't even internally use gen AI as placeholder assets. If it comes out like this it just damages a game and studio's reputation. And using it for last-minute translations and not disclosing it still feels gross, even if the plan was to fix it later

In all honestly the plat itself was easy, only needed to replay one part of one mission for it. But I played the whole game out of sheer curiosity lol

Honestly who could say? Did anyone think No Man's Sky or Cyberpunk 2077 could turn things around? Main difference here I think is barely anyone is playing MindsEye, so I doubt it, but if the devs have private funding then it's possible

This is an early PS3 game dressed in a PS5 game's clothes. It's the kind of game I can remember playing as a kid after renting it from Blockbuster or impulse buying because the cover looked cool

It's been years since I played GTA 5's story so this may be uncharitable, but I also never managed to finish it cos I kept getting bored

Honestly MindsEye is so bad it's also making me retroactively like GTA 5 less. I keep thinking "I just drive around, kill some dudes, then drive somewhere else" and realised GTA 5's story is mostly that too just with better writing and performance. Like sure there's a lot of STUFF but is it good?

It's terrible in so many unique ways for a 2025 game. Doesn't even have a world map!

I did a mini review of The Alters for Push Square! It reeled me in with its drama and gorgeous sci-fi landscapes. The wheel base is awesome, the live-action short films are hilarious, and the gameplay loop is wonderfully tense. Best game 11 Bit has put out so far
