Having my years long nagging bad feeling about a subset of the Harry Potter fandom justified for a THIRD time in my life is wild.

Just so everyone knows, my class was set up with all of their work for today and I woke up in so much pain I couldn’t walk so I did call out.

Two of my kids ended up suspended for starting a fight with a classmate.

It is still always less work to go in.

Self contained middle school is truly wild btw, I went to school for theatre and yet here I am teaching geometry, biology, and US History every single day.

I know every teacher makes this point, but it’s less work to go in and feel miserable all day than call out and figure out sub plans. Being self contained makes it even worse. I’m having a flare up and the lowest energy option is to go in and do 8 different low effort lessons over the next 2 days.
