Found this photo I took when I was 16 years old & had no idea who I was or what I was doing. Teenage life was brutal. I used to lay in this bed wondering if I’d make it past 20. I didn’t think I would. 16 years later and I’m still here; now a mother to two & soon to be published author.

I finally got ahold of the OBGYN office to have my referral sent to the gastroenterologist. It took over a week calling but progress is progress. My health is still declining, my stomach is more swollen and my cycle is now basically nonexistent. Trying to keep my head up. I’ve been writing a lot.
Should I go back to song writing? (Says the person writing a novel, 12 fic stories and getting back into poetry)
Fun fact nobody asked for: when I was younger I had a notebook full of songs I had written, but got destroyed when half my roof collapsed during Hurricane Irma. I was beyond devastated.

12 years ago I started taking photos outside of landscape & nature photography. The year of 2013 & 2014 I started taking self portraits. Back then I didn’t care about faking a smile at a camera. I wanted the camera to capture how I was truly feeling. 2014 I was very lost.

My definition of scatterbrained is me having Stage 2 hypertension last night and again this morning yet I’m just thinking about how i didn’t know rose tinted lip balm existed until last month. Also I feel shame for missing work (cause I guess the audacity of taking care of myself)
