I continue to be gobsmacked at 1) how common this formulation is 2) how antisemitic and generally bigoted it is 3) and how for all the talk of anti-semitism this is never cited as an example even though it’s quite literally the original incarnation.

It implies that we are visitors in someone else’s country.

Any time they say it’s a “Christian” nation, that’s antisemitism and Islamophobia. It’s not even coded. In a nation of multiple faiths and the faithless, it’s a goddamn insult to exclude everyone else.

This was before my time in DC but I recognize all those buildings. Roxy Res, Spellbound, Bleeding Edge, and Sacrilege were all within about a block of there.

The building where Syndrome was is probably in the background.
