What I also found annoying was that you had to register immediately if you wanted a ticket at all, because there is now a limit; you were literally forced to decide, as if someone were holding a gun to your head.
And since nobody asked me if I was interested in participating again anyway, my decision not to register last year was even easier. Sometimes you just have to listen to your gut feeling and not let yourself be talked into everything.
I have to get something off my chest: last year, I found the NFC event too crowded for the size of the indoor area, so I spent most of my time outside. Therefore, participating wasn't my top priority this year, but perhaps my opinion will change next year; we'll see.
