Nowan has had the patience of a saint and I couldn't thank him enough for it. Took this piece on some time ago (longer than I want to admit) and it was a bigger challenge than expected. He has some plans for it that I'm excited to see how it turns out. ✨

It's a weirdly niche problem, but also seems like -such- an oversight. Post-expansion, it's just a hard-won glamour piece. ;T

Because relics typically have the step for setting up it's unique stats, it doesn't allow you to put them in the glamour dresser. The dresser wouldn't retain that information so it's just not allowed. You can put the replicas in, but not the actual relics. :X

I feel like the devs should have added in some kind of special storage for relic weapons/gear at this point. You can't add them to the glamour dresser (because they have unique stats) but then they're just religated to taking up valuable space in other storage (inventory/retainers/saddlebag). :T

TBF I don't know the actual drop rate percentage, just that it seems to be incredibly low. I wouldn't be surprised if it was below 10%.

Haven't done the full Bozja grind, myself, but have done a significant portion of it. So I can reasonably say that in comoparison, OC seems more grindy.

It really does not help that the drop rate is like 1% 🙄

Well, I completed the shared fates for DT so have very little incentive for that either. :T

I feel it's almost egregious just how unrewarding it actually feels. I don't even want to touch Forked Tower. All I hear about it is just how bad it is. Super grindy -just- to get into, and then ridiculously punishing if you mess up even once? Nah. No thanks.

Occult Crescent is so... boring. I'm trying to give it a good shot but ugh. It's like everything about is based on tedium. Literally everything about it takes waaayy too long.

I think I stashed it in a different inventory and i guess it doesn't stop you from getting the upgraded tool if it's not accessible to the NPC ??

Genuinely, what am I supposed to do with the earlier Cosmic Tool Prototypes (for the DoH/L area)? Chuck them???
Why didn't they just....upgrade the previous tool version, i.e. -replace- it instead of giving a new one?

Boiling it down, generally the idea of Dawntrail outside the brackets is decent, maybe good? But the actual [content] was just so poorly implemented, and is subpar when it could have been great.
Solution 9 should have been all post patch content. Tural should have been given the full breathing room.

My flatmate and I, both avid xiv players, have had periodic just hours-long discussions on our vehement disappointment with Dawntrail. lmao
