If you're at Meeting C++ & more 24h++ online: My talk "The Two Memory Models" streams today at 18:15 CET. I'll be available in chat to take questions about the talk, C++, CppQuiz, Squarehead etc. @meetingcpp.bsky.social

CLion 2025.3 is out! Looks like they've done lots of useful improvements, but the most fun one is probably the constexpr debugger. Click next to any constexpr variable and step debug its compile time evaluation. Pretty cool!
Had a nice chat with @blackiedk.bsky.social about @cppquiz.bsky.social, my book C++ Brain Teasers, developer tools, NDC TechTown, and other C++-nerdy stuff. Available on YouTube now!
PragProg is an awesome little publisher, it was great working with them on my book. Now all their books are 50% off! Including my C++ Brain Teasers, of course.
We just published a new question, the first in a series from our new moderator Mikhail Svetkin. Welcome to the team! https://cppquiz.org/quiz/question/405
Now recruiting for C++ and Yocto in my team!
Squarehead is a great place to work, with a super friendly team, low overhead, focus on devex, and lots of interesting problems to solve. And the job is literally to make the world safer.

@troyhunt.com, the respected security researcher and source for this "article", summarises it well www.troyhunt.com/inside-the-s...
"I think [these kinds of articles] are deliberately misleading and designed to drive eyeballs on ads whilst the truth gets buried somewhere further down in the story."
To get more clicks to their misinformation piece, they also write "Urgent alert issued to anyone who uses Gmail". But if you look at the source, Gmail or Google is not mentioned at all. haveibeenpwned.com/Breach/Synth...
@griff0.bsky.social did I get that right?
A bunch of sites (not Gmail) have leaked passwords over the years. In April, someone pasted them all into one big document. Some people use the same password on multiple sites. These users are then vulnerable on all those sites. One famous site which is good to use to get clicks happens to be Gmail.

If by "they" you mean Gmail, it's because it didn't happen to Gmail. This article is click bait misrepresenting what actually happened.
Judging by the comments, this looks like misinformation. Don't click.
