When Stamets resurrected his dead husband through sheer force of human YEARNING I was like this is some Star Trek right here for real.
My biggest disappointment with Discovery is that for the first few seasons they were doing Dragonball Z levels of powerscaling, an interesting idea for Star Trek, but they kind of abandoned that and shot them into a boring far future.
