Some of the movies I’ve enjoyed recently. I’ve been on a bit of an old pre-Hollywood Alfred Hitchcock kick.
Mostly watched as Hitchcock most surely intended: incrementally while riding an exercise bike.

Sometimes I’ll remember the process of drawing a page as just sitting down and drawing it, but then I’ll find the sketchbook pages where I was figuring things out.
This is from We Ride at Night, which I did last year, using as many tools as possible to make it.
“Uh‘m Buhmun.”
Thanks!
I don’t think AI will ever have fun
I watched a lot of old episodes while I was working on this… and really it seems like anything goes

De mis artistas favoritos 😍
It’s been a while but my feeling is, Harvard Bookstore, used book section, there will be a few for cheap.
My first comic book, Asterix and the Great Crossing! One I read and read until the cover fell off (and later I bought a bigger replacement copy). One I still look at for how to draw water and trees and fights (the story has not aged well though).
Fish Ride.
OMAC.
OF THE EARTH 1 by Charlie Adlard. A woman stands before an oil well, pulling a concealed pistol from her waistband.
OF THE EARTH 1 variant by Jacob Phillips. A face dripping with oil.
NEW BOOK!
I am thrilled to be working with the legend Charlie Adlard on OF THE EARTH, an eco-horror story with a neo-noir tinge.
I'm co-writing with my pal Andrew Ehrich, and am delighted to be working again with Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou, @pipmartin.bsky.social, and @tivey.bsky.social.
I try to pencil as little as I can get away with.
This complete edition of Faster collects the full story in one beautifully designed volume, showcasing @jesselonergan.bsky.social inventive page layouts and kinetic sense of motion.
Boy does @bulgilhanpress.com know how to put a book together…

Ooops! Fixed now.
Taskmaster commission from back in 2020. There are those little things that shift in and out of your drawings, and that hatching for the dark areas on Taskmaster has definitely shifted out of mine.
That’s what I was hoping for!
Yeah, I get that feeling too. Mick McMahon would be another one with that quality to me.
I love Cam Kennedy. I think the first thing I saw by him was a Boba Fett series from Dark Horse. Since then, he’s be an autobuy artist. That mix of cartoony/chops is a very British thing to me.
