Doesn't feel like we're in the era of polished politics. If ALL CAPS and an attack on reality itself is acceptable to some, maybe in the messy marketplace of ideas we can get over nuanced hedging.

For all directing skepticism at journalists (and it's fair to consider all messengers critically) please spend as much time evaluating your own biases.

Yesterday, when the government used taxpayer dollars to blast a full-volume narrative about the man federal agents had shot on the street, I remembered a quote from Lincoln.
He said that if you attack someone’s character without knowing if it’s true, that is the same as a lie.
Stunning. The Minnesota Bureau of criminal apprehension says they secured a judicial warrant to access the scene of today’s shooting but were denied access by Federal agents.
The National Rifle Association is also criticizing the administration for its evidence-free descriptions of a legal gun owner standing in the street with a phone.
