I don't tend to think there's a unit quantity minimum, to qualify.

But I also don't know how recovery programs think about / relate to psych comorbidities. I've seen AA people push "quit alcohol" as a solution for people who have different problems, so, shrug.

I might not believe the following if I examined my upbringing more closely (most of my family are sober alcoholics in AA) but I think of "addiction" as more like, being stuck in tiny little cycles of samsara about [thing]. Thoughts, motivations collapse down to when you'll do it next & how.

It seems to me that city gov't could pay to train providers, at all NY H&H locations, to prescribe puberty blockers and HRT for youth & offer that care at onset of puberty, regardless of age.
