"Labour agreed to hand the Chagos Islands back to those who have a rightful claim to it, bringing to a close negotiations started in 2022 by the Tory party."
Fixed it.

Hey, and the viewer they're using is IIIF, so let's hope they stick w/that improvement going forward, eh?
Did I mention that we have just digitised all ten volumes of the Journals of John Locke held here @bodleianlibraries.bsky.social - go and see them on Digital Bodleian digital.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/search/?q=%22M…
Here's a list of real nature photographers posting their own work, who make their images accessible with Alt Text. I love that Bluesky values actual people and not those image stealing accounts.
This is just to get you started, there are tons more great photographers here!

It's always bad practice to read a group's metaphysics right off from their grammar, right?
One of our Reading Champions organised an impromptu poetry session at lunchtime today but was slightly worried nobody would attend. Twenty excited KS1 children turned up. He read them all some poems and got them to join in. It went so well, he now wants to make it a weekly event.
Do consider filling this in - it helps the EEF to know how to support us best within schools.
“When mayors in other cities ask me how Copenhagen afforded to invest in its cycling networks, I ask them how on earth they have been able to afford highway projects,” Kabell says. “We invested in bike lanes because that was the cheapest option.”

Children in youth offender institutions in England denied access to education: less children held in custody is good news. But the treatment of children in custody is in definite need of improvement. www.theguardian.com/education/20...
I want a “reverse Costco” where you can buy small amounts of items you will rarely use again, like specialty ingredients.
Let me pay $1 for 1 oz of fish sauce. Yes, I can get much more for not that much more money but then I’ll feel guilty every time I see it in my fridge.
Bit snappy as I only created an account to buy from this particular seller yesterday...
I can just remember red squirrels, a very early memory
But it was an isolated one pointed out by an adult
Hopefully they’re recovering in some parts of the North
Our infrastructure might need improvement
But at least some areas have red squirrels

I thought of Stoke on Trent saving some if its bottle ovens
Used to be dozens & dozens of them visible not so many years ago
But a few been saved to remember- can’t save everything
From the air the cooling towers in the Trent valley seemed to have similar effect
It’s worth saving a few to remember
Charismatic infrastructure in action.

This looks good. Green hydrogen is not the only answer - there is no single answer - but good to have another green hydrogen project in Aberdeen, using our offshore wind for its power, and helping the transition from oil. And 3gw is big.

It’s what I used to say to my students about choosing words, they’d accept ‘kindness and politeness’
It’s also a good rebuttal when accused of being ‘woke’
I’d say I’m quoting my mother ‘Politeness costs nothing”

When choosing words to refer to people or describe people, be polite & don’t be unkind
A word might not bother you, but if it bothers someone else, don’t use it
Don’t be concerned if someone calls you ‘woke’, ‘snowflake’ or ‘PC’ because you didn’t use the word
Just say you were being polite and kind
great writing advice here!
