I’ve been to Barcelona beaches seaglassing once in 2019. The bounty of unusual colors was amazing. I guess it’s not really a thing there? Although that may have changed by now.

The language she is reading is called Braille and was invented by a man of the same name. Each letter of the alphabet has its own pattern of dots so the finger can tell an “A” from a “B” and read the words by touch alone.

I love nuts and eat nuts in salads, but I agree, not in anything else. My weird thing is I don’t like baked fruit. It’s fine in syrups or jellies, so boiled I guess is okay, but baked and still partially intact? Gross.

Thanks! This is just a rough layout, I need to cut some of the water tiles into smaller pieces and I am dying my own grout (blue) for the first time, so we’ll see how it goes!

They aren’t talking about visa to more Chinese or international students (the admin could revoke any university’s ability to support visas at all), but rather, direct funding of research from countries like China in exchange for the results.

Yes, the school officials and the border officials both have to see proof the student (or their sponsor) has enough financial assets in liquid for both tuition and living expenses for one year to approve the visa. It’s built into the process so they won’t be a drain,and able to pay their own way.

I just clean them with a bowl of soapy water. I’ve got jars all over the house, but this old typesetting tray is what I use for the best in colors or categories.

Fairy house #2 was put up at the park today. I filled the split in the stump with tumbled glass to resemble a creek. The 1st fairy house lasted 6 months (unclear if someone stole it or it fell apart); let’s see how long this one lasts. #fairies #fairyhouse #seaglass

Son went beachcombing today. It’s crazy that in this political climate he would find an item like this. We’ll take it as a sign that Nazis in America are all washed up! It’s a war merit cross 2nd class from 1939. What a change from the usual fossils and seaglass! #Beachcombing
