Scroll on… A cool-looking Red-tailed Hawk that someone is wondering which subspecies it might be - right up my alley! But when you zoom in on the photos literally every feather group has been so heavily manipulated and altered by AI editing that it’s impossible to determine subspecies because the photo is essentially fake now; just a mashup of whatever AI thinks parts of a Red-tail should look like. Scroll on… WOW! That’s a remarkable trail cam photo of a Bobcat! It almost looks like a painting!… but the head looks oddly small…. hmmmm. After some prodding the original photo is produced and sure enough it had been so heavily altered by AI ‘post processing’ that the photo posted was essentially a digital mock-up with totally different proportions and fur markings. No longer the photo off the trail cam; it may as well have just been ‘created’ by AI from scratch. This stuff is killing me. My days on social media are becoming very limited. We can’t even trust simple, everyday photos of animals to be real. The wildlife community needs to quit editing with AI, and we need to start calling out photographers that are using it. Our reality is being destroyed all around us.

Cover for the Noss: Prelude album by Fox Amoore. An anthropomorphic fox watches the lights inside a dome turn lavender and cyan. Twin peaks at the center of the dome are split by a mile-wide column of vines that stretches to form the dendritic bright sky. The monumental mountain is steep and sharp, holding little snow despite its height. One of the best international movies I saw was a Dutch movie focusing on how the navy was formed. Everyone in the movie, English, Dutch and French, spoke their native tongues. Anything not in your own native language was subtitled.
If you have a smartwatch with the green light, thank Spottacus. It’s incalculable how many lives his work has saved- so many people who otherwise wouldn’t have gotten help without alerts from his system. What a legacy.

Twelfth Night to be transformed by non-binary performances The Daily Telegraph29 May 2025By Craig Simpson ARTS EDITOR Sir Ian Mckellen’s show will feature non-binary or transgender performers SIR IAN MCKELLEN will support an all-transgender and non-binary version of Twelfth Night. The actor, 86, will introduce the onenight-only performance at the Space Theatre in London. It will consist of a reading of the play conducted entirely by those who identify as non-binary or transgender. The play will also be directed by Phoebe Kemp, who prefers they/them pronouns, in a new London production. The production will also include a trigger warning alerting viewers to the fact that the comedy contains “Shakespearean humour”. Kemp said: “Twelfth Night already toys with gender and performance – it feels like Shakespeare wrote it for us. This reading is about joy, solidarity and showing what’s possible when trans and non-binary artists are at the centre of the story.” The performance will take place on July 25, on the eve of a scheduled Trans Pride march through London. The production will be the first staged by theatre company Trans What You Will, which is “in the business of putting on Shakespeare with trans and non-binary per formers”. The company has stated: “We believe in the importance, now more than ever, to provide opportunities for those under the trans umbrella to come together and make us laugh and cry and show the world how precious and wonderful gender diversity can be.” #TransAgendaClips
