Vernal Pool Tadpole Shrimp are invertebrates and do a lot of molting of their carapace along the way to gaining size. In well-populated pools you can often see shed carapaces/molts just floating in the surface or around the margins of the pool. Makes it nice and easy to determine presence! #inverts
