It is not exaggerating to say that the current incarnation of the Winnipeg Monarchs (est. 2020) may be the least successful junior hockey club in the world.
Probably time for a fresh start in a new place that appreciates them.
Went to a couple of local MJHL games on the weekend. Winnipeg Blues and Monarchs. Sad what became of the Blues -- the Monarchs have always been that way.
The kids are trying hard but just can't compete. No fans, no sponsors, just parents paying full freight for the kids to get stomped every night.
