For the leaders, it's just rousing language, success measured by cheers, and back into the jet to whip up another tour stop. But down here on Earth, this is peoples' lives. Especially young students who want to love America and want to make a great life for themselves here.
And *of course* that perspective isn't given, because taking others' perspectives into account isn't part of the game plan for this administration. If people knew what it was like, they would realize the horror of cheering for their out of touch leaders.
These kids are terrified, and in some cases, have various disabilities. If armed agents come in the night and steal the parents away, these kids will be left stranded. That's not only terrorizing for the kids, but an economic impact on our society.
I've been listening to people in a school system describe how the threats of mass deportation are impacting students. That perspective isn't given when jerks get up on stage and get their followers to cheer for roundin' 'em all up and arresting them.
