On International Womenโs Day itโs great to remember that Grunya Sukhareva identified Autism before Kenner (100 years ago), identified that Autism presented regardless of sex, and that it is a spectrum.

Ancient stepwells brought back to life as India begins to run out of water
Centuries-old wells restored to provide drinking water as parts of the country head towards โday zeroโ when no water will be available
โIndia is famed for its stepwells โ multi-storey structures built to provide access to groundwater, with steps and platforms descending to the water level. Thousands were built across the country near natural aquifersโฆ mostly between the 11th and 18th centuries.โ

Few in this country have worked to promote the understanding of race and class as historical phenomena in Britain as long, or as well, as Catherine Hall.
None of it is a fad. It is all politics, in the hard, real sense.

I urge everyone to watch this video from the brilliant Tourettes and disability advocate Jhรณnelle Bean. BBC had a time delay and edited out Akinola Davies Jr saying Free Palestine but it chose not to edit out John Davison's tics. #BAFTA

No one from BAFTA said anything to Lindo and Jordan?? Thatโs bad. And they edited out someone saying โfree Palestineโ but let racist slurs air unedited??? Thatโs bad!

"Though the BAFTAs aired on a tape delay, the slur was nevertheless included in the 7PM broadcast -though the BBC did not air outstanding-British-debut winner Akinola Davies Jr. saying "free Palestine" at the end of his speech, according to Deadline. (The BBC told Deadlijne that "all edits were made to ensure the program was delivered to time.") Sinners production designer Hannah Beachler wrote on X that while the Davidson situation "is almost impossible...it happened 3 times that night, and one of the three times was directed at myself on the way to dinner after the show."

BAFTA/BBC edited out a speech about Palestine before airing along with the word "piss", but allowed the racial slurs to be shot out to the public: have they apologized for that or explained who thought the n-word was less offensive than "piss off"?

The BBC also failed significantly, and the cynical side of me would say deliberately since they'd edited out a pro Palestine message in the broadcast but allowed this slur to stay in, while surely knowing the fallout that it would create.
