BBC/BAFTA edited out everything else on the tape delay, including Akinola Davies Jr. saying “Free Palestine."

"Though the BAFTAs aired on a tape delay, the slur was nevertheless included in the 7PM broadcast -though the BBC did not air outstanding-British-debut winner Akinola Davies Jr. saying "free Palestine" at the end of his speech, according to Deadline. (The BBC told Deadlijne that "all edits were made to ensure the program was delivered to time.") Sinners production designer Hannah Beachler wrote on X that while the Davidson situation "is almost impossible...it happened 3 times that night, and one of the three times was directed at myself on the way to dinner after the show."

BAFTA/BBC edited out a speech about Palestine before airing along with the word "piss", but allowed the racial slurs to be shot out to the public: have they apologized for that or explained who thought the n-word was less offensive than "piss off"?

The BBC also failed significantly, and the cynical side of me would say deliberately since they'd edited out a pro Palestine message in the broadcast but allowed this slur to stay in, while surely knowing the fallout that it would create.
