or basically if you say that a program P that is running is not the same program P as its own source code as data

I think CachyOS might be over-hyped. In my experience you can get 95% of the same experience on any other Arch distro. I also don't know if I trust all its "optimizations" and custom packages - would rather just be using the default Arch repos and settings.

Endeavour is nice but a bit barebones by default. I've been trying CachyOS recently (it's also Arch-based) and I like how it's more pre-configured.
