Thanks very much! I appreciate this. By the way, the wonderful Dim Shores edition of "Stag in Flight" with illustrations by Nick Gucker and cover design by Matthew Revert is indeed out of print. But the story itself is included in my collection, Strange Is the Night. Thanks again!
Me. 😄

Whom do I trust? The person who looks deeply into their own soul and seeks to embody their honest, authentic identity. Not the squirming, angry person obsessed with transgender people but unable or unwilling to say why, who's terrified of losing his own identity and social status.

Happy to share. Your collection rocks! ❤️
Thanks, Ian. I hope you find it creepy fun.
Yay! Thanks and happy reading!

Some of it was funny. They expected the few women in the group to worship their gods--McGuane vs Pynchon. Two writing instructors--one who prayed to John Irving and one who prayed to T.C. Boyle--broke out in a fistfight on the lawn more than once. Stupid. Everyone knows Donald Barthelme is god.
Really, I'm grateful for the luxury of a sort-of community. I know there are cliques and clubs but there's also a large group of people who are far more generous and easy to talk to than the English department where I wrote my first published stories. Man, those guys *invented* negging. Such jerks.
I believe the proof is in the pudding and all the information is on the task.
I'm glad I'm in touch with a writing and reading community on social media. I get encouragement from men and women who like my books. Thanks, weirdos.

"Clive Barker is her Virgil, but Paula D. Ashe is Dante guiding you ever deeper into an Inferno more hellish and cursed than the 14th Century Catholic poet could've possibly envisioned..."
—Christopher Ropes author of Complicity
"My god, this book Where do I even begin? The exquisite language. The devastation. The slow, creeping dread. Truly masterful. I’m a new and devoted fan of Paula D. Ashe."
—Eric LaRocca author of Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke

No kidding. I wish you the best, Max. ❤️
I feel for you. It sucks. All of it. I estimate it cost me $35,000 to get free of three relationships over 12 years.
Thank you, Tim Waggoner!
Wasn't that a beautiful episode? It gave me chills.
Oh, thanks, friends! Sales doubled in January! Keep re-posting, rating, reviewing, and recommending. I appreciate it. xoxo
Come get some!
I am bad at social media/reposting, but it’s that time of year again!!! Originally, this was exclusively fiction writers, but I’ve expanded it a bit. As always, if you would like be added let me know!
Thanks again to the Seattle Horror Book Club for making I WISH I WAS LIKE YOU their February read! All the best to a lovely group for including Greta and her grunge era murder story in their 2026 reading adventure. Cheers!
