yeah, rw’d THE REVENANT at home just now after 2 IMAX viewings and I stand by my words: It is one of the greatest films ever made, ever. Not just modern cinema, this is just the 110% entire package that makes a film a true classic. Everyone, truly everyone showed up and exceeded expectations.

Exactly, I’ve been appreciating the back and forth honestly, even more than expected— their stories are super cool together too which offers a lot of entertainment narratively, so I’ve been all for it. Shut it off for the night but yeah from what I can tell, sounds like you’re gonna love this one
The first person stuff feels pretty much exactly like 7 and 8, and yeah it’s the most atmospheric one by far. Grace’s panicked breathing while exploring also makes it all feel so real.
Leon’s parts play exactly how you’d expect if you played 4 or 4 Remake. Still fun, Graces stuff is chefs kiss tho

There’s a large group of “hardcore” RE fans that will always say that RE is a third-person franchise, prompting me to ask why they absolutely nailed first person three times in a row (including requiem).. I prefer the first person games over the strictly third person dead aim ones honestly.
