LRP I think this is somewhat of a pet peeve of mine when folks in RP are going off of stuff in-game that, realistically, only affects or is known by a select handful of people. So that’ll include certain terminology (like with Elpis Flower vs heartblooms) or even certain major events within MSQ.

I GUESS I get why they're used -in MSQ- to condense terms, but to all but very specialized scholars, these are not the names the layman would use casually, if at all. It makes me absolutely crazyyyy how frequently ancient names are being used in RP before the common names are.

Harped on this before, but terms introduced in Endwalker—Etheirys, dynamis, Elpis flowers—all have common names, and these names are most likely restricted to Sharlayan scholarly papers.

The star is known as Hydaelyn (if not simply "the star"), dynamis as akasa, and Elpis flowers are heartblooms.
