it's not XD. Those are "proto-stingers" (he has 2 of'em)
They aren't 'actual stingers' but they mirror the singular stinger the parasites have (the one they plug into their prey's spine). The one seen on Gabrill and the other hosts are not sharp and dont have any openings to sting anything.
