Maybe someday I will get to do that project. In the meantime...
Back in 2016 I purchased nearly 2000 photos taken by a window painting company called Wonder Window. The photos were from the Los Angeles area and were taken mainly between 1988-1992.
I never shared most of them because I was hoping to make a book/booklet project out of it. Then life happened.

I bought this postcard years ago and it's still one of my favorites.
It's a real photo postcard - date unknown - with a couple at the end of an all-night dance-a-thon/dance competition.

The first non-Memphis and franchised location was opened in Clarksdale, Mississippi by Albert Pick, Jr., son of hotel magnate Albert Pick.
It opened in 1954 and only remained a Holiday Inn for a few years before Pick, Jr. started his own motel chain and rebranded it as an Albert Pick motel.
The second, third and fourth locations were all in Memphis.

The Greenhouse
Like walking into eternal spring. Everything's growing, blooming...seductively fragrant. Overhead, gently flowing water shimmers across the glass roof, soothing and restful. Food served in this atmosphere just has to be good. It is.
