Love her!
Truly - just because you can doesn’t mean you should
If he’s not using a laptop privacy screen while on public transportation he’s basically asking for his grammatically expert seatmate’s editorial assistance IMO. ;-)
Agreed, and - I assume it’s a coping mechanism. A person can know, intellectually, that nothing warrants that kind of abuse & also find it hard to reckon with having allowed oneself to remain in such a situation. “I learned a lot” is a form of psychological self-defense for which I have sympathy
YES - I do the same in my Critical & Strategic thinking courses for MBAs. It’s also easy to (incorrectly) judge the wisdom of a decision based on whether the outcome was positive. If you cross a highway blindfolded, the fact that you happen not to get hit by a truck doesn’t make it a wise decision.
Thank you for this — I very much needed a laugh today!
^^^this is the answer. Alysa continues to practice what she preaches— self care first. Good for her! And how lovely that, as a result of this healthy decision by Alysa, Sarah gets this opportunity.
Great films!
I don’t blame her one bit. She’s done so much post-Olympics media that she’s probably exhausted. Enjoy your well-earned rest, Alysa! Have a great Worlds, Amber, Isabeau and Sarah!
A pre-season WIN!
Open the schools!
Stay in school, kids.
Yes, all of that, and … his handsome looks and style.
She was so good in this!
Apparently, not all the “kids are alright”
These reductionist takes/questions — “appeal to men”— quite depress me. I give you credit even for responding. There are books for every reader out there willing to do even the most minimal search. And, just spitballing here, but perhaps “books for men” is the least helpful pitch/frame.
Yes.AND to have the catalyst for his inner peace turned into an iconic ad!
It will take MUCH more Braves misery to balance those scales. But it’s a start. ;-)
She’s inspirational
Louder for the folks in the back, please.
The feature I find most helpful is the one that lets me keep track of the Reading Challenges in which I’m participating. If the creator posts the challenge there I can track the prompts and my progress. I love that! Thanks, StoryGraph.
Among the noteworthy aspects is that it’s set in Chicago. Most books about the era and crisis focus on NYC and SF.
Thank you for this! You’re giving me reason to hope …. #LGM
Well when you put it that way …..
