The launch a #parkrun in Huntsville Alabama is coming closer to becoming reality, we have landowner permission. We’re now getting all the paperwork in order to submit to parkrun support (one concern is the requirement for marshals at turn-arounds - US events are small, which means less volunteers) 🤞

In today’s edition of Alasdair’s dull facts that nobody asked for... if you add &unit=1 to the end of a US National Weather Service forecast URL in a browser, it changes the forecast from °American to °C and metric units. You’re welcome. 🤣

Snowy #parkrun! This was Roosevelt Island DC parkrun event 304 a year ago… 53 participants and 15 volunteers turned out in the snow. Cold, but fun ❄️☃️🏃💨

It’s parkrun day and I’m living in Alabama, a state without parkrun. This does need to be addressed ASAP. I’m trying. 😁

I create routes on RunGo, or Garmin, so don’t need Strava for that. Heatmaps better on #Strava than Garmin, I suppose. Garmin gives me all the stats I need. An iPad app would help change my mind.

Seriously considering not renewing my #strava subscription and using the free version. My main reason is you can’t change the tiny text size on their app, and my eyes are 48 years old! 🤭😆

Meta has "paused" its plans to force their AI data scraping and privacy nightmare on EU users. I wish the US was in the EU. 😄

I've been trying to trick them that I'm in the EU and removed Facebook, Instagram & Threads from all my devices. It hasn't worked yet.
