hmmm i'm not confident the sources i -did- dig up for you would pass the sniff test after 3 years of scorched earth reputation management. like i can no longer find the tweet threads to back this up cuz they've long been deleted. so apologies if i'm coming across as flaky

The thing I hate most about working in rpg maker is i can spend an entire day actively doing things in it while being super focused... and still have made zero recognizable progress.
im really fascinated by the game of telephone going on about the age verification/persona thing. its been a while and the way people talk about it now is woefully disconnected from the actual facts that we do have. it seems like everyone's lost the plot on purpose to maximize the freak-out potential

the big driver behind all this age verification kerfuffle has nothing really to do with identity verification -- that part is hilariously easy to do with a few minutes of sleuthing -- nor does it have anything to do with protecting minors either
