This, I would add, at a time when GP partner recruitment is becoming increasingly difficult. Government not making it at all attractive to enter a career in primary care…
I’d be surprised if we didn’t see a further decline in GP partner earnings when the new employer’s NI changes come into force. They will overwhelmingly be the ones that shoulder the burden in order for practices to stay afloat.
And I’m sure this will get so much worse during a Trump presidency.
